The present lot is one of only two known examples of this form; the other similar example is in the permanent collection of the Henry Ford Museum of American Innovation in Dearborn, Michigan. Although the Loose Cushion Armchair was introduced by Herman Miller in 1971, this two-seat version was never put into production.
